Genuine Sincerity?

“loved ones, your feelings determine mine”

this is what my voice proclaims

but does my heart truly sympathize?

i encourage you to confide in me

but is just it to reciprocate my ego?

i stand under the rain you bring into being

but aren’t i just shedding crocodile tears?

i sit at the edge of the earth for your happiness

but is it solely out of obligation?

i am good to you

but can i be without the public eye?

i notice you waiting for the day my actions correspond with my words

but if my words lack genuineness

please do not stand by.
