Georgia

Georgia

I must warn you my love...

I am not like the others.

My heart changes like the tides,

though my soul is still.

Some days the earth trembles beneath my feet,

but my foundation is firm.

Some days I run into the arms of the boy next door,

then the next day I will tell you that I love you.

I cant explain to you the storm that rages within me.

All that I can say is that you gave me purpose in the silence.

You helped me.

You held me.

You opened the door, you let me in.

I made myself at home inside of your heart.

I made some earl grey and put my feet up by your fire.

Then without warning, I left.

I didn't even close the door behind me.

You let me in.

For that I am forever grateful,

For that I am eternally sorry.
