Get It Right

I don't know how.

I don't know why.

Why we had to say goodbye.

I did you wrong,

So I won't fight,

How long will it take me to get it right?

I didn't know I was going away,

I didn't know what to say,

All I know is I cry at night,

That is why I'll never fight.

That is why I can't get it right.

I know right now,

Why my heart is sad,

Because I loved you,

Then you hurt me, bad.

I won't sleep tonight,

I can't get it right.

But I'll take the hits,

I'll take the bruises,

I can take the pain,

Hell, who cares who loses

The one who will never be the same,

I can't get it right, and I'm to blame.

After I showed it to him he didn't speak to me for a few days, just looked at me. I love him more than anything, and I wouldn't be the person I am today, strong inside and out and a mystery to everyone but him, if it wasn't for him, his influence, and his weird affection for me.
