Get Lost

i know its been a while

since i thought about you

but maybe we can talk

about the stuff we went through

a girl scared of herself

on the edge of fourteen

scared of the future

and what it all means

action risks failure

but inaction guarantees

so onward we press

never at ease

why am i here?

where am i going?

i'm seventeen now

and no closer to knowing

And maybe i'm never going to know

about what might happen

or where life might go

But that's the beauty

of the unknown

you can take life where you want

and make it your own

so maybe we're lost

but i think that's okay

because when you get lost

you can find your own way
