they will tell you,

"get over it." 

like 

your feelings don't matter.

like your oppression is a joke.

they will tell you,

"get over it."

like 

your hurting is something 

that you can just "get over"

whenever you wish

to reminisce, to remember

how they have wronged you,

how they are still wronging you

they will tell you,

"get over it."

your skin color is the target of every race joke.

get over it.

people are wrongfully killing those

just like you.

get over it.

they discredit everything you work for.

get over it.

people call you out of your name and tell you to

get over it.

but no.

that is like telling someone that was just stabbed

multiple times to

"just stop bleeding."

i refuse.

i will scream and i will 

shout and i will never get over 

how i am treated 

until i am treated

differently.
