get real
Once a pone a time
no body gave a care,
and once it was said and done
there was always fear in the air.
they had me selling a joint
while rolling another one up,
this is how the cycle goes
and the result always sucked.
so one day I told my self enough was enough
and when I started doing well;
the girls came around,
trying to sell me lust.
but I told them no,
I had to get my education up;
so I can get out of the hood,
and not have my life so destruct.
people started getting mad
when I wouldn’t give them the time of day
they would follow me
to see where I say.
one day they waked up
and put the .44 in my face,
told me “come back to the hood,
or on this ground you will lay.”
I had to make up my mind
I had to think of something quick
go back to the hood or
keep my job at mike's
when it was all said and done
they had me screaming out,
had me bleeding,
and laying in a ditch.
