Getting Up

One summer

I gave up on hard work

I simply quit

Without a care in the world

I did as I pleased

I failed myself

I put my families name to shame

I let myself down

While my friends worked hard

I was getting into trouble

And it showed

The time came

I started working hard again

But it was just to late

I stumbled behind

And I fell hard

Time goes on

And I slowly rise

Stronger than before
