Getting under the skin

Skating across the surface of my conscience Embossing your name into the folds of my cranium Seeping between the cracks in my brain It's your presence that's causing this delirium I require focus to perform to the best of my abilities But there you are, pervading my every other thought You're like an ever present mosquito A loathsome pest that I long to swat I could be so much more productive Without this tunnel vision with you at the end Set me free from my wrought out misery Let me be happy just being your friend
