getting worse

I wish… that you would choose to stay,

The times you choose to run away,

There’s so much that is left unsaid,

Confused… I lie awake in bed.

It’s 3 am… am I insane,

Kept awake by sorrows pain,

The friend I have, one long gone,

one I love… one not born.

Words… at times misunderstood,

Received as evil… said as good,

To lock away what should be free,

Silence maybe is the key.

I really wish you understood,

At times I really think you should,

But no one does… a gift and curse,

Hopes of better… getting worse…

Thank you for sharing this. It's hard to be vulnerable, and honestly, I think I needed to hear this, so thank you.
