A Ghetto Decemeber
My heart still beats fast like it was yesterday, I want to let go but I can’t run away.
The power’s in the time, times in the air, I’m reminiscing but my visions not clear.
The struggle’s in my hands and the grip is tight enough to kill.
The grip is bold enough to delete my innocent veins.
I’m not weak but am I strong? I am comfortable, so I’m wrong to feel like this?
A house but no home, a grave in a cemetery, skipping the funeral, skips the morn.
But I didn’t skip the terror in his eyes.
I longed his protection but I worried his ego.
I was the target of my own human hero.
Pasted in a fantasy, which couldn’t even be seen, a deliberate smack that we all seek.
Why? Why do you continue to hurt, crawl threw the field, dragging your body in dirt.
We all want something but we all aren’t free.
We all want something but we all aren’t free cause we all don’t want to be.
I is trapped in the ghetto of December, I get up wishing time will heal,
I make my move to seal the deal. It’s open, it’s never been closed, and reality hit me,
A blink of an eye, tears rolling down my chocolate old face.
Thoughts in my head, I cannot erase but it’s the life I’m living, oh I’m living it well.
So don’t feel sorry for me, we all must live, still we all must die.
Keep ya head u0 and don’t trust lies because the truths in a ghetto December.
