Ghetto Diet

Hook x2 Chili Cheese hot cheetos, Pickles dipped in kool aid, Now laters, snicker bars, every single school day, Feed em poison, kill them folks the slow way. Will they ever diet? In hell thatll be a cold day Corporate food schemes and diabetic dreams, Death served with a side of collard greens Grab your fork and knife homie you should try it, They gone make it we gone buy it, Welcome to the ghetto diet Verse 1 Malt Liquor, 4 Lokos, dranks bottled to 40 ounces, So much beer up in the city that’s it coming out the water fountains, Crushed can hills covered in broken bottle mountains, And I can’t hear cuz his bass speakers steady bouncing, I don’t gotta pass the bottle I can drink it all my self, Living life for today, middle finger to my health, By the time Im 30 I wont even fit the same belt, And I wanna smell old English and smoke every time I belch, Smoke smoke smoke , cigarettes is like logs in the chimney, Addiction is my best friend and rehabilitation is my enemy, Manufactured garbage, the hood is the center of the industry, When it comes to gluttony we are the epidemy, They asked me to read the calories and I replied are you kidding me? I get shot at every day and you got nerve to say my food is the thing thats killing me? I don’t care about the parasites and worms in my red meat, I don’t give a FUCK that’s why I eat... Hook x2 ...Jolly ranchers, snicker bars, Strawberry lemonade, Now laters, kit kats, every single school day, Feed em poison kill them folks the slow way. Will they ever diet? In hell thatll be a cold day Corporate food schemes and diabetic dreams, Death served with a side of collard greens Grab your fork and knife homie you should try it, They gone make it we gone buy it, Welcome to the ghetto diet Verse 2 Jolly Rancher sodas only 99 cents, With a kit kat bar and some sour patch kids, Weed up in the sack but we gotta get a swisher though, Wood tip black and milds and blunt wraps from the liquor store, Mexican candy might have lead in it but I don’t give a mother f***, Smashing dippin dots and UFOs from the ice cream truck, Nabisco, little Debbie, hersheys and frito lay, Snack this way and you wont live to see another day, Louis burgers chili fries, hot chicken from golden bird, Ranch dressing, bbq and hot sauce is preferred, We smash through bacon and deep fried pork chops undeterred, And when grill pork we tell the Muslims to not even waste a word, Never spend a dime put it all on the EBT, Tapeworms in my belly now my food is eating me, High blood pressure how can this be? Maybe its cuz I like to eat…. Hook x2 ...Fried chicken, hamburgers, fresh cooked French fries, Ice cream, hot dogs, sweet potato pie, Now laters, snicker bars, every single school day, Feed em poison kill them folks the slow way. Will they ever diet? Nigga no way Corporate food schemes and diabetic dreams, Death served with a side of southern collard greens Grab your fork and knife homie you should try it, They gone make it we gone buy it, Welcome to the ghetto diet Verse 3 The solution is pollution, Through quiet execution conducted by government institutions, Its more effective than beat downs and drive by shootings, It’s a conspiracy hidden behind calories, carbs and gluten, Chemotherapy and Diabetes shots full of insulin, Mountain dew lowers sperm counts now we cant be intimate, The populations ignorant, Its all about the dividends, Prop 37 didn’t pass tell me what kind of world we livin in? In a lab is where the food is grown, Your whole plate is something cloned, Lung, liver, kidney, brain and pancreatic cancers, We the problem that’s the answer, And if you got doubts and you aint ready to let go, Ask yourself……Why they only peddle this up in the ghetto

SIMbolic

My name is Simeon Carson and I am 20 years old. I was born in Harbor City, California and received the majority of my upbringing in Compton, California. I graduated from Dominguez High School in June of 2011. My role models are Huey P. Newton, 2pac Shakur and Malcolm X. Since my adolescence, I have been fascinated with the English language and wordplay. Since words were and still are my forte' I've spent countless hours studying the dictionary and literature beyond school. At the age of 8, I was regarded as prodigy because of the advanced English skills I had developed. I had honed and refined my skills near perfection, but I was not satisfied; I decided to find a creative outlet to showcase my talents so I took up poetry as a hobby. Year after year I gradually improved until I had become a prominent poet in my neighborhood. Growing up in the Compton, which was known for various rappers such as N.W.A. and Ice Cube, I was exposed to the urban hip-hop culture and I also took up rapping as a hobby. When I reached the high school level I had decided I wanted to be a lawyer and eventually a politician. I always had a passion to lead so I became involved in organizations such as the Black Student Union and Associated Student Body in High School. After a year of dedicated service to both organizations, I was elected Senior Class Vice President and the Black Student Union President. The B.S.U. encouraged me to study history and analyze my surroundings. As a result I developed a radical critical consciousness. It became evident in my poetry that I was becoming more aware of my surroundings. I took notice of how modern hip hop pollutes the mind of the youth and I stopped rapping completely and focused on my poetry. After meeting the urban spoken word artist Food4Thot I decided wanted to combine hip hop and poetry so I became a spoken word artist as well. As of September 2012, I have served as the resident poet for 90.7 fm's Tuesday night political talk show, Beautiful Struggle. I have also made appearances on New Era Radio and as a teacher for the Occupy LA movement, I love poetry and hip hop equally, so I decided to use my talents to educate the misguided youth of my generation. The subject matter of my poetry now reflects serious political and world issues such as racism, child molestation, capital punishment and a majority of other controversial issues. There is nothing more satisfying to me than being able to do what I love and help people at the same time. I rhyme for the people.
