Ghost

I am a ghost.

A whisper unheard and a shadow without light

Never seen but feared

Other care not, of my plight

I am a ghost

A memory; painful, bittersweet

I’m not but a spirit

Floating along with dragging feet

I’ve been up, I’ve been down

Yet I have one regret

None will see me at my grave

But I suppose, I shall not fret.

Love is not an ocean deep and with danger

It is a river sweeping and cruel

It hurts to be thrown away,

And yet my love is a stubborn mule

I am a ghost

Broken and abound

My story is like many others

A treasure never found.
