Ghost of love

I think of what could have been and the reality of what has transpired to have a burning fire that tears through your hearts ventricles through your lungs, collapsed wake in state of relapse love used to counteract the poison filled veins of pain and restraint. I miss you but cannot have you, all of you I could have your body your kisses your hugs your smiles but only for this moment which in my mind has been forever frozen. The best choice for me was to leave so I turned around and run as fast as I can away from emotions, away from the feeling of the memory that you and I were one entity. Taken from me the innocence of what it felt like to be and have love is gone never to be returned in the same manner anger floating to the surface a mix of Jekyll and Hyde and Bruce Banner. Intellectual bound by the attempting to figure out the science of humanity but ultimately filled with rage that personifies tragedy. I cannot escape my past, I cannot escape this prison of the prism of my mind but I can tear down the walls of lost souls and build a new foundation for love to explore. Never give in, never surrender always fight even when the battle has been lost because there is always a chance to rise far beyond you ever imagined to escape the ghost of love that I once knew to create a new reality without you.

This poem was inspired by heartbreak and how to rise past it to become a better person
