Giants

The Giants have found her again.

No matter where she goes, they will find her

and throw her back into her cell.

She’s soaked in juice

            Sticky. Gross. Warm.

Will suffering end?

Four years have passed, but nothing

Nothing changed

No one…

No one saved her

No one…

WILL save her.

She's

Alone.

The Giants feed her their bread

            Crusty. Stale.

She breathes in smoke and coughs out her voice.

The air around makes her dizzy and tipsy.

She can’t seem to remember a time different from this

this—This monstrous time filled with Giants.

She’s only child; not even 10 years of age and

the Giants keep her chained to keep her

from escaping

            There                           is

                        She’s trapped.

            No                               Escape.

One day she stops moving and

the Giants kick her away.

Her soul drifts into the toxic air

And she becomes I

And I can finally rest.
