A Gift

How do you know when you're gifted?...is it the way you cant blend into your surroundings because everyone is happy with living a meager life that immerse itself in complacent standards with no room to grow but that isnt appealing to you, because something in the back of your mind is constantly saying that you are destined for things far greater and different..How do you know when you are gifted?...is it the way mozart felt the first time his finger tips glared over piano keys and sensed his calling, or how 808 kicks and snare drums sound like keys unlocking dooors for little ghetto black boys who always knew they had a way with words when their speech carried by beats, and the feeling of going in their closet to lay down a new track is compared to taking a hit of some new crack..how do you know when you are gifted?...is it the way the ink from a pen can free you, allowing your silence to be louder than anything in the world, words are decreased until you give them life, painting a vivid picture that is sketched out by your choice of letters, you wake up feeling like there is a story in your head that has to be told so every chance you get you write.....hoping to free someones soul with just the curve of your wrist...how do you know you are gifted?...because your gift is all that you have.
