The Gift of Compassion

Crossing the finish line..

Then fear set in

What will my next step be?

Where will I begin?

Leaving undergrad, the thought was bittersweet

I was running out of energy, nearing my defeat

But there you were

There for us when we didn’t know where else to turn

We felt fear

You gave us comfort as graduation grew near

You gave us understanding, while others added pressure

Before the last exams, you gave us a refresher

Reinforcement is vital

Guidance is essential

I thank you for your compassion and for seeing my potential.

I love to write and express. I don't usually write poetry, I mostly just do journal entries.
