Gift of a Friend
Short, that's what life is,
the denial of loneliness and
the glass is almost overflowed.
Staring off into the depts of emptiness,
the sign of no hope that's
what it does what it leads to
the worst battle.
It's you verses yourself and your demon
and when you look at your reflection
that demon is you.
Darkness surrounds and
there's no way out, you
stand in the pitch of black,
that attacks the heart, hurts the head,
and destorys the soul. A light shines above you, an angel,
a saint has touched you with its gentle hands.
Soothing words come about snd your heart feels warm,
there's movement around your mouth it's your smile.
You see the light in their eyes, the start of something new, ammends
the soul, heals the mind and eases the heart.
There are many treasures out in this
world but the best of them overall,
is the one you cherish forever. A gift of a Friend
