A Gift to Humanity

O' how dark, darkness is

With its faded color and its emptiness.

The dark of the night sits heavy upon mankind.

Forsaken by their gods, they fear the tender night.

A cry and a prayer towards the heavenly light,

For a beam of light

To shield them from the wickedness of the dark.

Through deception and theivery

Their prayers are heard.

A trickster to bless humanity

With an unexpected gift.

A new light sweeps the land

Yet a darkness sits upon the man

Who gave humanity the gift of fire.
