A Gift, A Wonder

It was during life’s most difficult moments,

when I just could not endure again

any more pain

that I felt my most inspired to write.

And I’d write poetry;

Deep from within the anguish of my soul

spoke words that I did not know

could be fashioned into something so eloquent,

and beautiful.

Yes,

pain could be beautiful, I saw.

And I considered poetry

a gift

and wonder

of the Most High
