Gifted?

I used to get through quizzes really fast.

I never had to study it at all.

However, this phase, it would never last

Until the year of '13 in the fall.

Like usual, I quickly skimmed a book.

The test for it I thought would set me free.

But after it, I soon would take a look.

The grade that I had gotten was a D.

I vowed to study more than in the past.

I'd write notes from the book's great pages down.

My giftedness? It surely didn't last

Now that the high school rigors were around.

Since then, I'd study hard for everything.

In college, I would raise my GPA.

Though I hate the idea of studying,

I know this way is just the better way.

As long as I keep studying so hard,

I soon will own a big house with a yard.
