Gimme

John 15:13-14

13 No one has greater love than this—that one lays down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.

Gimme

Give me water ... give me space

I am a child at heart

To break away from myself

I plunge into freedom

Give me childhood ... give me faith

Just some simple smarts

To relax from twelve to twelve

and so to escape boredom

Get excited ... get committed

Life is for the free

Accept it as it is given

and bathe in the Son-shine

Embrace the day ... it’s custom-fitted

Especially for you and me

If we hunger to be forgiven

and turn to this Friend of mine
