Ginger

I am a ginger true and fair

With my white skin and orange hair

I was picked on and made fun of

But I don’t care

Because I am my hair

Not many have it

I am one of few

So don’t judge and take care

Because I have red hair

But you didn’t

And you wont

Because different is not accepted

And so I was rejected

You put me down and made me your joke

But you never hurt me

Your words didn’t affect me

You may have pushed me down

But I never fell

I learned that your words are just words

And I am a ginger

I have white skin and orange hair

I am rare
