This Girl

I met this girl

She was as sweet as candy
Her life seemed to be perfect
But it wasn’t you see
She had problems like you and me

Nobody knew her struggle
Nobody knew her pain
Until one day
She got on her knees
And she prayed

“Dear God can’t you see
I was born in the wrong century
Nobody sees the pain
Nobody sees the blood stains
I need someone to help me fight
Day by day”

And a hand laid on her shoulder
She looked up terrified
Terrified at what she might find
A girl who looked down upon her
And smiled, stood her up and said

“Hi, you don’t know me
But you seem really kind
And I need someone
Someone to help me go on
I see your struggle
and I see your pain
and I also see the blood stains
You see you have the same problem as me”

She looks upon the girl and smiled
She said,” Lets be friends and help
each other through the pain”
That girl was my friend you see
and that girl with the same pain was me
