A Girl
There is a girl.
A girl with a bright smile, bright personality.
A girl with a mistaken past, mistaken hurt.
They see her in the hallways with a smile. But only does she know how she really feels.
The pain it is to fake a smile each and everyday. Pretending she doesn't hear the whispers in and out of her head.
It is a dangerous place. Society.
The girl tries to lighten her burdens with the deathly toxins. Loud music and mixed faces soon blur before her vision.
Then it's gone. The pain. The worry. The sadness. The fake. The hurt. The lost. The girl. All gone.
People at school don''t know her for her. They know her as the girl.
The girl that kissed her best friend. The girl who never finds love. The girl who got beat by a boy. The girl who's father comes home drunk. The girl who cuts. The girl who is depressed. The girl who used to be someone else. Someone innocent. Someone truly happy. The girl forgot who she was.
She let the words of society become her. She lost who she was. Then to her she was the girl.
That girl is me.
