The Girl

She walks down a lonely hallwayPeople watch and stareLooking at her like an animal at the zooLaughing at herShe walks to the restroom,Afraid if she runs they'll laugh moreWaits till everyone leaves the restroomLooks in the mirrorShe sees nothing but the words they shout at her"Ugly!" "Fat!" "Stupid!" She starts crying She looks through her backpackTrying to find comfort in somethingShe finds a shard of glassShe looks away and presses it toward her wristShe slowly presses it against her skinRepeatedly
