That Girl

That girl is too real to exist

She is a compilation of contradictions

You could not find a more intriguing girl

If you dreamed her up yourself

She is all recklessness and raw emotion

Her personality oozes passion

And she exudes sexuality with every sentence

Every word has more than one meaning and every phrase is an innuendo

There is something jarring about her juxtaposition

Her authenticity astounds me

She leaves no ghosts under her bed to haunt her

But hangs them up on her walls like dream catchers

So she can look them in the eye and tell them they don’t scare her

There are not enough dimensions in existence

To describe every side of that girl

Her lips are red delicious apples

I’m dying to sink my teeth into

There is magic in her vocal chords

So every time she speaks I swear I can see stardust slip past her lips

Her voice engulfs you like an all-consuming fantasy

and it’s so smooth that it almost makes you

forget you could easily cut yourself on her edges

Her eyes are the sun

People fear if they look directly into them

They will never see anything else ever again

She is the kind of girl people write stories about

Except she would sooner romanticize herself

Than give someone else the satisfaction of doing it for her

There’s a spark behind her eyes that never dims

And when she blinks the world gets a little darker

At least mine does

Because she’s all I see

I want to tell that girl that if she was a book

I would devour her pages paragraph by paragraph until I understood every single word ever written about her

I want to tell that girl that if she were a galaxy I would count her constellations like my life depended on it

I want to tell that girl that if she were rain

I would never use another umbrella again

so I could feel every drop of her kiss my skin

I figured out one day that the reason she cocks her head like the barrel of a gun

is because her mind is a lethal weapon I know she keeps fully loaded

she’s not afraid to shoot off her mouth and fire her ideas out faster than bullets

That girl is like an A on a test you didn’t study for

Something you don’t deserve but will spend the rest of the semester trying to be worthy of

That girl has a smile that takes up half of her face

But never seems to be big enough

That girl has a laugh that cuts to the core and rings out like sweet satisfaction

everything that girl does she does with every part of her

I didn’t know that girls like her existed

I love the way that girl lives life

constantly and tirelessly giving the world everything she has

That girl is an ascending firework

Accelerating toward the day when she will explode while everyone is in awe of the beauty of her destruction

I wish that girl understood that I will be standing on the ground

Waiting anxiously for her

To come down safely
