This Girl
She doesn't seem to care
About things said behind her back,
She always seems to laugh
Because of the fear she lacks.
Her momma taught her to be strong,
Gave her something to look up to,
She doesn't walk in her footsteps though,
Not after all she's been through.
She walks the hall like it's her own,
She completes her work with pride;
Bad friends don't stand a chance with her,
They can't keep up with her successful stride.
This girl is beautiful,
This girl is unique;
This girl doesn't try to keep up with the crowd,
This girl is me.
