A Girl
Eyes so kind; lips so sweet
Body so divine; hair so sleek
You love so deeply and trust so easily,
Or so you did before just recently.
I gaze at your smile and want to make you happy,
But I can’t without making life oh so sappy.
You’re one in a million, a true friend,
And I hope you are here ‘till the very end.
When you walk I can’t help but to stare,
It helps to know you are always there.
No matter what it may seem,
Arm in Arm, it’s not a dream.
I know your feelings and I love you too,
But I know I’ll end up hurting you.
I love your laugh, eyes, hugs, and kisses,
But this isn’t just for the Misses.
This is for me, a girl of confusion,
But none of me is ever an illusion.
For I hope I’m not a waste of your time,
You just have a ways to climb.
Before you find what’s at the top,
You’ll have to make a pit stop.
You may not want to see me in another way,
But hopefully, you will one day.
These words I say may make you fall,
I’ll be there to catch you standing tall.
I enjoy the things we share,
Whether cheese pizza or just that we care.
You’re a firework in my eyes, a shooting beam,
Full of such radiance, a shimmering gleam.
I fell so hard the first time I found,
Your amazing you, as I poked around.
So no matter how this ended,
We’ll always be friends that ascended.
