girl.
left on read.
again.
waiting in a diner
at 2 am.
craving connection
in this hookup culture.
rejected.
ignored.
invisible.
she sits in front of a mirror
invisible.
ignored.
rejected.
i know what you expect
a line about a girl who feels broken.
but this girl is not broken.
she is not phased by a fuckboy
who cannot communicate
she is not alone
in a diner
because she enjoys her own company.
she is not waiting for her prince
to waltz in
and dance her into a sunset
she sits in front of that mirror
with courage in her heart
fire in her soul.
shatters the image of what this society tells her she is.
she is not
invisible.
rejected.
ignored.
this girl is a damn warrior
not expectant of boy to save her
she is not closed to the idea of love
but she will not compromise who she is
for the lust of a man.
so go on
try and take her spirit
her soul
her heart.
but she loves herself
before she loves you.
and boy
you're in trouble if you think that will ever change.
