the girl.

a young girl stood before me today,

her face was utterly unattractive,

i couldn't bare to look at her,

for her beauty was held captive.

her skin was blemished with cracks and marks,

her nose was far too wide,

her stomach isn't flat enough,

oh, how ugly she looked when she cried.

her arms were too large,

her lips so very thin,

that was when i stepped back from the mirror,

and let my insecurities win.
