The Girl In The Blue Dress

I see a girl

young and pretty

She has on

a blue dress.

Tears on her cheeks

Tears of pain

Loss

perfect oval tears

that shine with light

Tears keep her innocent

wet and pretty

Her face is young

Her mind has grown

Sitting alone

in her blue dress

Waiting

for answers

Answers of hope

of faith

answers never came.

Battles

are rough

but,

Life

is cruel

She says

never knowing.

To her

Smiles and laughs

are dreams

To her

Nightmares

are reality

The girl

in her

blue dress

young and pretty

Waits

sweet and pretty

Tears run.

The girl

Has grown.
