The Girl in The Corner

There are odd people in places like this

if "odd" is rude

I do apologize

I simply mean

Odd in the way that

each one is peculiar

some twiddle and fiddle

like leaves of an Aspen tree

while others cease to breath

as I watch each one I become worried

my fear grows that my skull is glass and

that each one can read between the folds

of my pink think matter

but

Would it matter if they could hear or see what I think?

I would still have the eager to look

to watch

To observe

After all,

I am certain that that is what the girl in the corner

Is writing in her notepad
