Girl In The Dark
I sit here and breath
Luck I don’t have, I finally start to believe
I got talent, in writing
Nothing much
Smart
I can really draw a piece of art
But my mind’s beginning to grow dark
Engulfing me alone, so far
No one
No one’s there
No one will know besides you there
Your eyes are red from tears
While I hold mine’s back too dear
Unexplainable emotion
Lurking from some potion
She wants to know
She has no where to go
She’s alone
Another flow of tears erupt
Falling down her cheeks
She cries and cries, but no medicine can heal
Its something she must deal
But she’s too scared, nervous, speechless
When he arrives
In a conversation, she drains out her luck
She’s alone, the girl in the dark
Crying, weeping, tears leaving marks
Against her precious face
Which she believes now is disgraced
She can’t hold it in no more
Crying like its a chore
She needs a hand
Something I’m not obligated to provide, let alone can
Her tears are red
The color of love
It weeps out her eyes in pain
Something she seems to not gain
I want to help her, lift up her spirits
But how can someone so down even do it
That girl in the dark
That girl, cries to be held
I reach out for her, so suddenly it fell
Glass shatters everywhere
Bleeding feet, dripping blood
That girl in the dark…I look at shattered pieces
Tears rushing down my face
That girl in the dark, I have taken her place
