The Girl That is Gone

I remember that girl

The girl that is gone

The one with blonde hair

As light as the sun

The one who favored pink

And played by the rules

The who liked dresses

And thought she was cool

What would she think

If she could see how she'd grown

With multicolored hair

As vibrant as the sea

This one who favors gray

And doesn't care about rules

This one who likes band tees

And wishs she were cool

This one who stays hidden

And has meds for depression

This one who prefers music

Over human interaction

This one who wishs

The other girl hadn't left

For when she had gone

Her innocence had fled
