This girl he knew

There was a boy in a small class
Who saw a girl so blonde, no sass
She looked and smiled while he blushed
And thought to himself, What a crush

They talked they flirted and then he'd see
how much he loved her, a sight to see
She came around and held his hand
butterflies came, it was so grand

She had a boyfriend, who lived so far
but started to like this boy, a star
The boy was younger, boyfriend old
Soon she'd choose who to behold

He worked so hard for this beauty
at last he kissed her, oh so fruity
Later, she leaves him in the rain
Countless tears, left in the drain

She's gone, a wife, a new last name
Not seen again, from their long fame
The boy who's covered with mold and dew
still must think of the girl he knew
