The Girl I Lost
Five years old
Full of life
But somewhere along the way
Life happened
And long gone was that little girl
With a free spirit
And endless amounts of joy
Her eyes were always glassy
Her heart had been broken into millions of pieces
She just existed
And never truly felt like she was living
Loved by no one
Or so she thought
Her heart longed for acceptance
Her soul had been crushed over and over
Gone was the girl I once knew
Her heart withered like a flower but she still loved with all of her heart
She forgave those who caused her pain
But she was never the same
To the girl I lost and never found again,
Stay far away
Because in the end
It made me stronger
