The Girl Of Many Talents
A girl of many talents,
I mean she could do it all
Before she asked someone for help,
She would try it on her own
She loved to try new things
And loved the feeling when it was done
She would find new things to do
Just for fun
She had so much confidence in herself,
They say she was conceited
But her opinion of herself
Was all she needed
When she got dressed,
No one could tell her nothing
This girl right here
Was really something
But one day this girl met a guy,
She was sceptical at first
I guess something told her it was wrong,
But she hates to think the worse
Because this girl that was once confident,
Ready to take on the world
Started to feel like nothing,
She forgot her worth
She used to tell herself she’s beautiful,
Now she wonders if it’s true
She been questioning herself a lot lately
Since she been with this dude
He manipulated her often,
So she wouldn’t leave the house
That beautiful personality,
Was now as quiet as a mouse
She stopped doing the things she loved to do,
Her confidence was nowhere to be found
Even when she tried to get it back,
He would knock it right back down
He would get upset if she wanted to go out
And try to have fun
And tried his best to keep her away
From everyone
At some point in time she got tired,
She missed who she used to be
Before he came in her life
And caused so much misery
She was tired of fighting,
Because it kept getting worse
She knew if she didn’t leave now,
She would go out in a Hurst
The girl of many talents,
Knew this couldn’t be it
She knew there was more to her life,
She knew she had a gift
She had to find a way out,
She had to find a way quick
It wasn’t easy, but she did it
But where does she go from here,
How does she get back
To that girl of many talents,
With the confidence she lacks
She’s scared to go out of her comfort zone
Because she’s used to being pushed back
But she’s determined to do it.
That’s nothing but facts
You see, all those years he spent
Trying to break her down
It backfired on him
Because she’s stronger now
She went through the fire,
But she didn’t get burned
He spent all those years shining,
Now it was her turn
