The Girl of my Memories

The girl of my dreams, had I not known she existed;

She hadn't until I met her.

I didn't expect her to appear in my place however her charm persisted

She incurred my attention, not one to defer.

Unprecedentedly she protruded my thoughts often

In class, she'd fail to leave me be

Sixty-years later, she lays in her coffin

I loved her to a profound degree.

Leaving me sad and lonesome, crying

The one I love had left

She and I spent our whole lives undying

The least of my worries now beget

She incurs my constant thoughts, she's someone I'd never leave

As special to me and reserved for only I, she lived eternally in my dreams.
