The Girl With The Red Book

The girl with the Red Book likes the guy with

The Brown Guitar

The one who puts a smile on her

Face

The one with the gentle

Heart

Every time he strums a tune her heart is

Filled with joy

Every time he looks at her, she

Feels something more

Like fireworks about to explode-

Though he didn’t mean to read the

Red Book

She felt hurt; nothing more

To say

When he was done reading though,

She couldn’t look away

She didn’t know how he felt,

Even though she didn’t

“Care”

But deep down she knew

Not all was fair

So, she strummed a tune, she

Strummed all the way

Even though he didn’t care-he didn’t notice-

He didn’t stare

Because she knew he wouldn’t feel the

Same, the girl with the Red Book

Went on with her day and tried

To put a smile on her

Face

After a while, she made up her mind

Knowing nothing will change.

The girl with the Red Book

Will always like the guy with the

Brown Guitar

Not because he puts a smile on her face

Even though he took it right away

But because he mended my heart in a way

Beyond ways.
