The girl with shattered eyes

Once you have seen her you never forget.

A girl who is too hurt to forgive...

The boy with the bruises on his heart.

This girl,

The girl with the shattered eyes,

Has no one to listen,

No one to talk.

Piercing after piercing...

all she has left is bits of her heart...

and  a fate that has left.

These dull, shattered pieces...

used to be bright and full of wander.

He gave her his heart and in the end...

she dropped it,

She didn't understand,

why did he use her?

The boy with the bruised heart is suddenly full of hate;

The girl with the shattered eyes is no longer the bait.

The laughing of these kids,

the yelling of these adults,

the pain of feeling broken after every dance.

The reason her eyes are shattered is still unknown to me.

One day I hope they aren't broken...

One day I hope she'll breathe.
