The Girl Under The Floor

With hair as dark as the night,

With eyes as blue as the morning sky,

Lived a girl part of a lie.

For when she was born,

She had to hide,

Every cry, scream, or hurt,

Every laugh, smile, or joyous memory

She has a brother,

As strong as a soldier,

Their bond as strong as ever.

For when the secret was found,

She was locked up,

Her mother killed for her sin.

For in this world,

A woman could have one child,

No more.
