Girl Wait

I could see it by the way she looked at me.

She lied to a boy who asked her out saying I date her

I am grown up enough to know how they act when they want me

I also know how to react if she wants me

I kept it low and calm till she

couldn't keep silent.

She wrote...

I feel something for you.

I wrote back

What is that thing you feel

She typed

The only good thing one feels

I typed back

Is it that thing that gives you chills

She scribed

I think it is that thing ontop ov the hills

I described

I am so lost girl find me on the hills.

She prescribed

Can I come find you before the creauture that kills finds you?

I replied

Why not, Its not having you that kills me come find me.

She wanted to speak in metaphores

I had talked to her type before

I knew what she wanted

But I wanted her haunted

By not having what she wanted.

Everybody loves what

They can't have.

Elfuric

Ever since I learnt how to write I never stopped writing short stories, poems and ideas. I am from Africa living in South Africa, Joburg. I am a business man with a love for music and writing. Its lovely how a poem can be turned into a song. Rhythm and Words are my closest friends. I respect The Sound of Life and the power in following your Heart which makes Music till the day you die.
