A Girl Without a School

Sometimes I wonder

what people think

when they hear I go

to an online public school.

Some act surprised

others nod their heads

some frown

others smile

and still I feel caught between two worlds.

Misunderstood.

a part of both

understood by neither

somewhere in the middle

Fighting to justify myself

To prove myself

To show

I am just as

Smart

Sharp

Sociable

Active

Academic

Acomplished

Yet still

Caught somewhere

in the middle

Some try to understand

And I appreciate their efforts

But no one will really understand

What it's like

To be

Me

Caught between
