Girl to Woman

Growing up home was happy

momma loved me

Daddy loved me

Then they didn't love each other

I became lost

Momma found me. Daddy did not.

I felt alone

left to navigate on my own

Abandoned by my Dad

Would I make it through

growing up I felt isolated, strange.

Then I realized

Alone? No.

I am Strong and Independent now

Only through the isolation could I grow.
