Girlish Ways


I found myself alone Distraught, in my subconscious zone Replaying over in my mind “I’ll talk to ya” Were the four words I recently heard At the end of date night I sat in my car with a tilted head Unsure, confused, and a bit upset In sum an unnecessary over thinking wreck The words formed a phrase that lacked sincerity A sentence that I couldn’t rely on at all Trusting my intuition I sure as hell wouldn’t be the one to call And then I did
