Girlish Ways
I found myself alone
Distraught, in my subconscious zone
Replaying over in my mind
“I’ll talk to ya”
Were the four words I recently heard
At the end of date night
I sat in my car with a tilted head
Unsure, confused, and a bit upset
In sum an unnecessary over thinking wreck
The words formed a phrase that lacked sincerity
A sentence that I couldn’t rely on at all
Trusting my intuition I sure as hell wouldn’t be the one to call
And then I did
