girls

with their shiny hair

and their beautiful laughs

being around them is natural

haven't i been around them all my life?

yet suddenly she is more attractive

than the boy with his arm around my shoulder

and i ignore the feeling

because boys are good, they are fine

when did girls become so pretty

and when did boys suddenly take an interest in me

but they are still cute, so i can look the other way as another girl walks by

i give a smile at the boy

with his arm around my shoulder

but what i wouldn't give to smile with her instead
