Give It Your All
Love is often seen as a man giving a woman all of his effort.
However, love has been misinterpreted for centuries
You give me the cherry on top of your milkshakes because you love me.
I give you hugs on your bad days because I love you.
Love is not give and take, but give and give.
Love is not greed, anger, or lust.
Love is caring, kind, and generous.
Love is seeing and treating each other as equals.
I’ve been in a relationship before, they would come and take all that I had whenever they needed it, and then they would leave.
Falling in love with him felt like I had been drowning, but I stayed with him because I loved him.
Then he left for the last time, and I didn’t allow him to come back.
Falling in love with you was like coming up for air for the first time in years.
You give me your all because you love me.
I give you my all because I love you.
