Give me A Chance

I want a chance.
Just one.

Let me show you what I've got
Even though it's not a lot.

An audition!
With one little line,
I might be nervous at the time

I'll start off shaky,
But I've got confidence, you'll see!

I'll give it everything I have
If you just give me one little chance.

I will prove myself worthy of this life
I'll lead a passionate fight!

Now I don't give up easily,
You would have to beat me down completely.

Because I am me you see
And I don't break over one little thing.

I goof up
And trip over my toes.

But I stand back up
And put my glasses right back on my nose.

I may look like a shy little mouse.
Quite and nice as can be,
But if you give me a chance,
You shall see
The lion that roars from inside of me!
