Give Me Forever.

Hope for the aftermath of sadness,

The joy that is to come.

The forevers that could be promised,

Those promises being made.

All for the cause and perception of love.

The reality of love,

That devotion,

The hope for that emotion.

Moving ahead,

Moving forward,

Never stopping.

But getting lost in the hopes never lost alone.

It is ok to be lost,

As long as you are never lost alone.

Someone getting lost with you-

I hope for that person,

Who will get lost in forever with me.

In this new year,

Give me that person.

Let that person surrender their emotions to me.

Becoming everything and forever everything.

I want to be and to have that thing.

Those words are like poison to my soul.

Or they are something deliciously perfect to my heart.

"There are dreamers and there are realists in this world. You'd think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists, well without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground."
