Give Me a Reason
I don't really think anyone has a reason,
But they have a right-
A right to decide what they want to do with their life.
Whether you're born with a silver spoon or no shoes,
Life sucks.
Is it fair of us to force you to stay and suck it up with the rest of us?
What you're chasing is something inevitable;
Something we'll all soon face.
But is it right for you to just leave us when no one really has it better?
Physical things bring only so much joy,
Short lived, unlike the prizes of good health, a loving family, a right mind.
Only seeing the outcome, but never the struggle.
Yet, what would you have achieved if you had stayed just a little bit longer?
Would our lives be any different if you had stayed?
Are we ignorant enough to believe that one person could be enough to keep the smile on our faces?
This may sound cliche, but life goes on:
We live, we learn.
So to put someone down for their desires, no matter how unconventional, is wrong
Because life is short, terrible, and wonderful all at once.
And who has the right to say when you've had enough?
So let's not judge, let's live, let's die; I'll be happy if you stay, I'll miss you if you go, but at the end of the day that's your choice to make.
Ending this now with the words of the Beatles:
Let it be.
